Interlaken's servo-hydraulic Test System performs testing in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO specifications for soils testing. It features high dynamic performance and includes flexible, fully integrated software for control, data acquisition and real time monitoring. The Test System operates using Interlaken's UniTest Control System to measure, control and record force, position and deformation.

AASHTO, NCHRP and ASTM

AASHTO TP46 Resilient modulus of base and subbase materials (soil, gravel, aggregate).

AASHTO T307 Resilient modulus of base and subbase materials (soil, gravel, aggregate).

NCHRP 1-28A Resilient Modulus of Unstabilized Aggregate Base and Subgrade Materials

ASTM 2850 Unconsolidated, undrained compressive strength of cohesive soils in triaxial compression.

ASTM 3999 Determination of the modulus and damping of soils using a triaxial cell.

ASTM 4767 Consolidated undrained triaxial compression test on cohesive soils.

ASTM 5311 Load controlled cyclic strength of soils (Soils Liquifaction).

1External can be either wrap or platen to platen lvdt’s.

2Platen to platen are stated in the test standard for deformation devices.

Axial and Diameteral Strain Measurement

When testing cylindrical specimens of soil or asphalt, axial diameteral deformations can be measured at the center of the specimen, away from end effects introduced by the loading platens. This enables accurate determination of modulus and Poisson’s ratio. Standard size ranges of 2.8 to 6 inches plus metric sizes are available.

Triaxial Cells

Interlaken’s universal system for soils and asphalt can be used with a wide variety of triaxal cells. It will easily interface with triax cells from several different manufacturers and suppliers as well as Interlaken's large diameter triaxial cell.

Platen to Platen LVDT's

Interlaken's platen to platen lvdt's are typically used with very soft and unstable soil samples.
