Sophisticated controller software allows users to develop complex force, motion and pressure profiles that can be both time and event dependent. Common hydroforming scenario:

In order to minimize wall thinning, maintain desired radii and avoid blow out, complex monitoring and control of forces and motions are needed. Interlaken’s control of forces and motions easily alternate between various time and event commands.

A typical process might require moving actuators in position control, then switching to force feedback for a portion of the cycle then switching back to position to finish the part. Interlaken’s control system with ProfileBuilder easily implements these scenarios.
