Hydroforming Process

  1. Close the press
  2. Move feed actuators to position docking rods
  3. Inject high-pressure fluid into the tube while feed actuators apply force to the tube ends

In the "typical hydroforming process" example, if the docking rods don’t seal perfectly and pressure doesn't build at the expected rate, the push from the feed actuators might buckle the tube wall.

Interlaken's Closed-Loop Controls
Interlaken's controller software allows users to develop force, motion and pressure profiles that can be both time and event dependent. With this controller software, Interlaken's Hydroforming Press will form complex shapes consistently and reliably.

In addition, costs are reduced and time is saved by eliminating secondary operations, reducing scrap, lowering material and manufacturing costs, and increasing design flexibility.
